Branching out to challenge stigma with a summer of festivals and fun

Posted Wednesday, 21 May 2014, 3.23pm

Have you or someone you know been affected by mental health stigma? Want to do something about it? Growing Voices will be travelling to festivals, events and empty shops this Summer talking to the public about mental health and stigma. With our colourful marquee, travelling tree, picnic of crafty activities and friendly team of volunteers we will be popping up all over Cumbria. Check out our Meetings and Events page (support our work/Growing Voices/Meetings and Events) or follow us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/GrowingVoices) for regular updates and opportunities to get involved!

Growing Voices is funded by Time to Change, England's biggest program to challenge mental health stigma and discrimination. Part of this work is a £2.7m grants scheme to fund grassroots projects, led by people with mental health problems, that will engage communities in meaningful conversations about mental health.
