What are you doing to help prevent suicide?

Posted Wednesday, 08 May 2013, 2.30pm

We feel it is more vital than ever to ensure that there are people in our communities who are able to recognise when an individual is having thoughts of suicde, and to be able to supportively intervene. Whether this be a welfare benefits advisor, a police officer, a pub landlord or a neighbour.

Learning simple intervention skills can really save lives, and prevent the tragic wake which suicide leaves behind.
Carlisle Eden Mind is currently funded by the County Council to provide free and low cost training in suicide awareness and suicide intervention skills.

We can provide free sessions to your organisation, faith or community group on basic suicide awareness; we can provide low cost in-house suicide alertness and suicide intervention skills training.

Training in suicide intervention skills has been proven to save lives.

Book a course for your organisation now.
