Suicide Prevention - Open training dates

Posted Friday, 04 January 2013, 2.07pm

We are delighted to announce a new set of dates for open suicide prevention training across Cumbria. These are ideal for organisations who have only a smaller number of staff to train, or for organisations who want to sample the training prior to booking an in-house course.

For more details about our training generally go to the training homepage

14th March 2013, 1pm - Kendal, Friends Meeting Room
22nd March 2013, 1pm - West Cumbria, Venue TBC
Duration: 3.5 hours
Cost: £20

SafeTALK is intended as "suicide alertness" training. SafeTALK teaches you to recognise persons with thoughts of suicide and to connect them to suicide intervention resources. SafeTALK is one of the LivingWorks training programmes, which is the most widely used Suicide Prevention and Intervention programme internationally. These courses are subsidised through Cumbria County Council’s Suicide Prevention Strategy. Please note the course is certificated, so attendance for the duration is essential.
