Spreading the Wellbeing message at Apple Day

Posted Saturday, 13 October 2012, 2.06pm

On Sunday we turned up to Acorn Bank's annual Apple Day to promote our services and to spread the message about wellbeing. Lots of people visted our stall in the woods and left messages on our tree about what made them happy. Children in particular enjoyed this activity and we appear to have many budding artists in our area. What's striking though is the consistency of the messages children give about what underpins their happiness. For most it's their family and friends that they value most. After this it's very wide ranging. Examples on the day included 'Playing outside', 'resting in my bed, 'birds', 'sooty my rabbit', 'sunshine' and our personal favourite of the day 'penknives, power tools and saws'!!
