Mental Health Awareness Event

Saturday 9 September 2017, 9.30am - 4.00pm

Carlisle Eden Mind are pleased to be joining University of Cumbria in hosting a Mental Health Awareness event on 9th September to tie in with World Suicide Prevention Day 2017.

Held in the Learning Gateway of the Fusehill Street campus, this FREE event welcomes professionals in the mental health field along with anyone who wants to learn more about how to promote mental wellbeing in their day to day lives.

After a welcome and introduction from the University's Vice Chancellor and the Mayor of Carlisle, Cllr Trish Vasey, we will hear from some exciting and varied guest speakers in the morning to engage and motivate with both professional and lived experience.

After lunch we will be running a series of workshops in smaller groups which you can sign up to on the day. The current list is below.

Please note if you would like to take part in the yoga workshop, bring comfortable clothing :)

Everyone will also have a chance to wander around the marketplace to find out more about support and services in the area and how to get involved with volunteering opportunities and more.

A Certificate of Attendance will be available for collection at the end of the event.
